PRODUCTION

Press Helper – Four-shift. Primary duties are to assist press operator in maintaining press schedules and quality, participate in press training program, and perform other duties as directed by the pressroom supervisor. Responsibilities of maintaining paper inventory and replenishing as necessary, assist in the cleaning of work area including ink pans, plates, and machine, and performing job set-up as instructed by the operator including completion of the “Preventive Maintenance List” are essential functions of the job. Mechanical aptitude is required. Willingness to assist others, enhance job skills, and ability to work overtime as required is necessary.

Press Operator – Four-shift. Directs the crew and perform manual and machine operator tasks related to the set-up, maintenance and operations of the press. 3 - to - 5 years of related offset press experience desired. Analytical skills required to examine the job order to determine quantity to be printed, stock specifications, colors and special printing instructions. Ability to identify visual defects and apply correcting solution to repair defect. Graphic Art knowledge is required to regulate the flow of ink, monitor ink density, position on paper and registration and makes adjustments to press throughout production run to maintain specific registration and color density.

Folder Operator – Four-shift. Perform set-up and operate the folder consistent with customer specifications (ensuring proper placement of cuts, scores, and folds) approved samples, and quality standards. Maintain departmental housekeeping standards and performing preventative maintenance procedures on bindery equipment as required. Prior Bindery experience is helpful. Mechanical ability with knowledge and understanding of hand tools used in Bindery is necessary. Good math skills with the ability to lift 50 lbs. repetitively throughout the shift are also required.

Bindery Trainee – Four-shift. Assist Binder Operator in maintaining schedules and quality while performing trainee duties as directed by the General Plant Supervisor. Assist operator by replenishing binder pockets as necessary during the production run. Complete the staging process including verification of cover, folding status, F&G approval status, and job jackets. Assist Collator, Trimmer, and other Bindery personnel as required and necessary. Assist in housekeeping of assigned work area. Must be mechanically inclined, under no lifting restrictions, willing to work overtime, reliable, flexible, organized, with attention to detail.

* Four-shift indicates a 12-hour shift, 3 shifts per week the first week and a 12-hour shift, 4 shifts per week the next week.

 

SHIPPING

Bulk Packer – 2nd shift (12 noon - 8:00 p.m.). Pack journals as required for shipment, label cartons as directed by the customer, and completing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner are the primary duties of this position. Data entry of transactions into Primac computer system will be required. Candidate must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment, under no lifting restrictions, and willing to work overtime.

 

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Account Manager – 1st shift. Opening in Account Management. The candidate will be primarily responsible for coordinating the production and successful execution of the customers work through the printing process while adhering to strict deadlines. Attaining superior customer satisfaction is achieved through communication of all pertinent information, cooperating with internal employees and customers, and maintaining those relationships. Creating, maintaining, and distributing various status reports on print jobs will also ensure customer satisfaction and the on-time delivery of a quality product. The successful candidate will have previous customer service experience. Previous print industry business development experience is preferred. Candidates with demonstrated ability to provide print solutions to clients are strongly encouraged to apply. Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of MS Office products will also be required. Effective human relations skills and good oral and written communication skill will be qualifications the selected candidate will possess. Organizational, problem solving, conflict management and time management skills will be helpful.

Account Assistant – 1st shift. Opening in Account Management. Assist in all aspects of processing materials for typesetting and printing for accounts handled by the assigned team. Handle various functions within these accounts as assigned by the Account Manager, including processing of bluelines and the coordination of production jobs. Serve as a backup communication link between the customer and TSP through direct customer contact. Serve as a backup Account Manager within the assigned team in the event of absence or vacation. Provide switchboard coverage during assigned periods each week. This position requires good written, verbal, and organizational skills and basic computer skills. Background in customer service/sales environment is helpful.
